Network for Practices Ltd is a not-for-profit organisation which was formed in 2007 in response to budget cuts, funding uncertainty and an increasing demand for cost effective services, central to NfP is the delivery of training for clinical and non-clinical staff within GP Practices.

Membership is capitation based and training is on offer to all Medical Practices, but members of NfP benefit from training rates based on break-even cost.  Any surpluses are used to subsidise some sessions and provide free places at others. Training can be geared to the needs of an area via a Training Needs Analysis, and we act as a sign-posting service for those clients seeking personalised sessions.  Membership is also available on an individual basis (e.g. for those not affiliated with a particular organisation or who wish to attend as a private individual).

Care Navigation Training
Feb 2022

From my point of view the training was really worthwhile.  The fact the practice reception staff weren't aware of the Community Connector Service before the training and then the light bulb moment when they realised the service, community and voluntary groups could help and support patients improve their health and wellbeing was a very positive step towards reducing the pressure on the surgery and empowering individuals to look at other avenues to support them.

I really hope all medical practices in Powys undertake the Care Navigation Training to empower and enable their staff to signpost and refer patients to the right support the first time, reducing the  pressure on health services.   We are really pleased to be involved with the delivery of this training.

“We have always had excellent service from you and your team. You couldn't be more helpful, and the quality of the training has also been excellent.”

“Thanks for organising a great course.  I have had some awesome feedback and very happy staff members!”
